The Sunshine Coast is an all rounder of joy, fun and adventure. Whether it's exploring the hinterland, splashing around at the countless beautiful beaches, or retreating to a magical waterfall, the Sunshine Coast has it all.

If you love snorkeling, then you have to try the snorkeling at Sea Life in Mooloolaba. You get to encounter over 20 different species of sharks, giant groupers and an array of fish. The marine life are quite curious and will brush right past you, letting you come face to face with the beautiful animals, in a safe environment. The price of the snorkeling experience includes entry to the rest of the exhibit and makes the whole experience a fun filled day of exploring the weird and wonderful marine life.

The best way to explore sand banks is to hire a stand up paddle board. You'll be able to find a hire place at about every beach you'll go to. Try find a flat beach or river and explore the sandbanks and little islands that you find along the way.

If you like a bit of adventure why not choose from the numerous mountains in the glass house mountain range? The Mount Tibrogargan hike is definitely not for the faint hearted. This hike requires a lot of climbing, a decent level of fitness, and for you to not have a fear of heights. The drop whilst doing the climb is quite drastic, and a lot of caution needs to be taken, as there is nothing to catch your fall. It's a great challenge though, and if you're determined to push through it, you'll definitely be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. There are so many different hikes and great walks you can do, all with different levels of abilities. Through the National Park Government website, you can pick and choose what you want in your adventure filled day. It will generate a list of all the parks and hikes that have everything you are looking for. From easy walks, BBQ area's, toilets, hiking tracks, this helps to ensure you are able to do everything you want to in your day out. Make sure to get a map off the national park website for the track you're doing. Here's the link to website: https://www.npsr.qld.gov.au/parks/list.php?region=66&facility=83

For some free snorkelling, pack some gear and head down to Noosa National Park. The famous fairy pools, are a cute little ocean pool where you'll be able to explore the little schools of fish and funky coral. The easiest way to access these pools in walk along the coastal walk in the National Park. You'll have a nice and easy walk along the path, once you have past Picnic Cove, start looking out for park benches. When you've reached the park benches, you'll have to scramble down the rocks and you'll be rewarded with this little natural pool.

The natural pool is quite small so try go on a weekday or early in the morning to avoid crowds and to enjoy this natural pool all to yourself.

If you're looking for a relaxing and chilled weekend, then the Sunshine Coast Hinterland will provide just that. Montville is a gorgeous town that provides an array of restaurants, and the cutest stores, filled with locally made and sourced products. A place I could not recommend enough is Remington's Private Cottages. It wasn't just the beautiful scenery, or luxurious rooms that made it unforgettable, it was the thought that went into the whole experience. The check in process was simple, there was fire in the fireplace ready to go and a basket filled with locally made goods to indulge in. Wine, breakfast supplies, chocolate, milk, there was everything you needed or wanted to just sit and enjoy the view.

This place is magical, you're able to kick your feet up and watch the beautiful sunset and enjoy the company of friends, family or your significant other in complete peace and quiet. If you're unsure of any places to go, the accommodation provides a booklet of all the best places to eat, see and do around the area.

There are numerous places to explore in the sunshine coast hinterland and sometimes just require a little bit of trial and error. We explored this cool little place called Rocky Hole, where you can pack a picnic, view some wonderful lookouts and cool off in the summer. It is however a 4WD track, and would not suggest going on the track without a sturdy car. DÁguilar national park is an awesome place to find some of the best picnic spots right on the side of the road.

Where ever you go on the Sunshine Coast, always look up photo's on Instagram of the location, and read reviews to find the best places. Also keep in mind how much rain there has been before going to these water holes, as we've previously been to places that have been dried up completely.
